Fondation Émergence promotes the International Day Against Homophobia. Its role is to:

consult those individuals and groups involved;

design communications campaigns:

hold an educational event;

prompt and encourage individuals, groups and partners to organise activities within their environments;

ensure the financial arrangements for the event;

draw up an annual review;

keep an updated record on the status of homophobia;

support research on homophobia.
Created in 2000, Fondation Émergence took on the mission to foster the personal development of gay men, lesbians, and people of other sexual diversity, to further their inclusion within society, and to fight prejudice.
